The Story of you and your client Through The Eyes of Your Client Take a few minutes to write the story of your client below, as if he were the character of your favourite TV show, like Mad Men or Breaking Bad. Get creative with this. There are no rules. Your goal is to gain a better understanding of your client. What does she want to do, but can’t? How does this problem make her feel? What’s stopping her and holding her back? What is not being said about her problem? What’s her backstory? What are the things she cares about? What gets her out of bed in the morning and keeps her up late at night? What are the three things she will never compromise on? Where does she aspire to be this time next year? What does your client say, think, do and feel in terms of the problem you solve?? Use the space below throughout to collect any questions you get from your clients. Questions may come through email or in comments. They may be direct requests you get via social media or be asked of you in person. These questions, which often slip through the cracks are gold for you and will provide valuable business development insights down the track. How can you help her overcome these obstacles or fulfill her needs? Tell me the story of your business. What do you love most about the work that you do? Where did the idea come from? Was there a specific moment you knew it was time to take the leap? Who influenced that decision? Who did you originally want to serve? If you are human, leave this field blank. Submit
